When I founded Chuck's Convertible Parts over 30 years ago, I had been restoring Porsche 356 Convertibles for 5 years. The Convertible VW captured my interests and after restoring over 50 Convertible Bugs and Ghias (and luckily keeping several for myself) I was bombarded with requests for parts and information from local Southern Californians.
The step into parts sales, restoration advisor, and so on was next. Then the founding of the Convertible VW Club of American which I founded and ran for 2 years having loads of fun and making many Convertible VW owners friends. (Thank you all for the success of the Club). But time did not allow me to continue the pleasurable hobby of running a National Car Club, now disbanded, I jumped back into "Chuck's Convertible Parts," manufacturing and supplying much needed restoration advise and the highest quality parts, the same parts I use on my own cars.
Now after assisting more than 40,000 Convertible VW owners around the globe with the highest quality parts, (yes, there are different qualities out there), and technical information, I am recommitting myself to giving my full attention to assisting you my fellow Convertible VW owner.
By personally answering my own phone when you call, I will assist you in ordering your parts, ask you pertinent questions about your car, suggest parts you may need in conjunction with your order, and even talk you out of buying parts if I feel what you have can be repaired.
